Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use careerIntel AI (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Contracting entity (UK): Zyvra Studio, company number [INSERT COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [INSERT REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS, UK].

1. The Service

careerIntel AI provides AI-assisted tools for career documents and related workflows (for example CV analysis, optimisation, and interview preparation). Features may change over time. We do not guarantee any particular outcome (such as interviews or job offers).

Beta status: the Service is currently provided as a beta / pre-release product. Parts of the Service may change, be withdrawn, or be temporarily unavailable without notice while we improve reliability and functionality.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction and not barred from using the Service under applicable law.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment provider (Stripe) according to the plan you select. Fees, renewal, and cancellation are shown at checkout and in your account where available. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew until you cancel in accordance with the process we provide. Taxes may apply as shown at checkout.

Fair use and usage limits: Access to AI-assisted features on paid plans is provided subject to fair use or usage limits so we can maintain quality, security, and sustainability for all users. Limits may be measured in credits or equivalent units and may apply per subscription billing period, or for the duration of a time-limited pass (for example a short-term access product) or promotional window. When a new billing period begins, or when a new time-limited or promotional access window starts, your usage allowance typically resets; current usage and reset timing are shown in your account (for example under Settings) where available. We may adjust how limits are calculated or enforced; where we are required to notify you, we will do so. Fair use limits do not guarantee a particular volume of AI-generated output in every period, and do not constitute a warranty of uninterrupted or unlimited processing.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to break security, overload systems, scrape or resell access without permission, upload unlawful or harmful content, or use outputs to misrepresent qualifications or deceive employers. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Your content and AI outputs

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us the licence we need to operate the Service (for example to process, store, and transmit your content to provide features and comply with law). AI generated suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing and using them appropriately.

We configure AI features to support fairness and non-discrimination in line with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act’s expectations for employment-related outputs — including instructions to avoid treating users less favourably based on protected characteristics under EU law and to base assistive analysis on professional merit evidenced in your inputs. Further detail is in our Privacy Policy (section on AI Processing). This does not guarantee error-free outputs.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, no rights are transferred.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties not expressly stated. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free or that AI outputs will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising out of these terms or the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty pounds sterling (£50), except where liability cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, risk, or legal requirements. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where they apply.
